My Fairy Princess Getting Started in Fairyland

You are the parent. She is the one who grows. Here is how the first days actually feel.

Getting Started

My Fairy Princess looks like a pretty town sim until you realize the poster girl is not your avatar. You play her parent. KDream and 2P Games built a single-player life sim where humans, fiends, and immortals share one quiet realm, and your job is to walk her from snacks and schedules toward a fate you can live with. The full game is still listed for 2026. You can learn the grammar now in the Steam demo.

This page is the onboarding pass. Pair it with the demo walkthrough once the build is running, and with controls if prompts feel crowded.

Before you click Play

Wishlist the Steam app (3387240) so the 2026 launch and later demos notify you. Confirm Windows 10 or 11, 8 GB RAM minimum, and about 10 GB free. Details sit on system requirements. Pick a language on first boot: English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese. Chinese has full voice; the others currently list interface and subtitles.

There is no friends list to invite. Steam flags single-player and Family Sharing only. If you hoped to raise two daughters in one house with a friend on the same couch, this is not that game.

Who you are on screen

In the family home you see a chibi or portrait of the daughter, not a silent farmer you puppet through a mill. The parent is present in CGs — brushing hair, sitting with her — and in systems such as Kinship. A Steam screenshot of the living room shows Kinship at 97 / 100 next to Chat, Give Snacks, and Archive. That bar is the relationship with you, separate from friend ranks on people such as Liu Yuyue.

Treat high Kinship as trust, not as a win screen. A daughter who trusts you still needs Mood, AP, and a reason to leave the house.

Read the top bar before you spend anything

Official shots of the home interior (summer, April in one build) show:

  • A seasonal clock with a Chinese earthly-branch ring and an AP count in a gold circle (5 in that shot).
  • Mood as a 0–100 bar.
  • Coin in one build; the outdoor Meadowville shot uses Silver instead.
  • Rebellion in the interior HUD; the outdoor shot labels a similar meter Defiance.
  • Shortcut coins along the top right (book, food, plants, character, gear).
  • Schedule on Q and Go Out on E. The outdoor map swaps in Home on F.

The bottom-left cluster is her growth. One screenshot names the four columns Power, Spirit, Knowledge, Talent with STA / MAG / INT / CHR pips. A later outdoor shot names them Physique, Mind, Literature, Talent with letter grades (D and F in early Meadowville) and a second row of MIG / AFF / INT / CHA. Until KDream freezes copy, learn the roles: body, inner force, study, and charm-or-craft — not a single XP bar.

Your first honest week

  1. Stay in the room long enough to try Chat and Give Snacks. The demo even hints at food pairing: one line asks for osmanthus cake with whatever she is eating. That is alchemy and cooking leaking into parenting, not a throwaway joke.
  2. Open Schedule (Q) and look at how days chunk. Do not max one chore on day one. Daily life explains why farming, fishing, and lessons all count.
  3. Press Go Out and learn Meadowville’s paths, mail icon, and NPCs. Seasons change the trees; they also change what you can harvest and who is standing around.
  4. When a fight appears in the grass, read combat before you treat it like a button masher. The daughter can take a party with her.
  5. After a few days, open the Friends book. If Liu Yuyue is in your build, note Age, birthday, height, and the memory gates. That tutorial is romance.

Pick a philosophy early, not a min-max sheet

Steam’s pitch is blunt: her growth is not only planned activities, it is everything she does, and your upbringing philosophy steers the future. Official endings include a renowned healer, a bewitching enchantress, a righteous prodigy, a wandering hero, a quiet mortal life, and a path past the mortal world. Hidden routes unlock on later cycles. You do not need to lock a route on day one, but you should know which chores fight which dream. Use the activity ranking and the ending planner as a sketchbook, not as spoilers for a finished formula.

What “done” looks like for a beginner

You are done with getting started when you can glance at AP, Mood, money, and Rebellion/Defiance without freezing, you have left the house at least once, you have opened Schedule, and you know Kinship is not the same bar as a friend’s Enamored rank. Then read how we raise the daughter so the numbers grow a personality instead of a spreadsheet.

If a prompt fails or a string still says Work in Progress, that is expected. Demo shots are watermarked as WIP and “does not represent final quality.” Log the bug, keep playing, and check demo notes before you assume the full 2026 build works the same way.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for demo players, parents, and ending hunters.

Do I play as the daughter?

No. You play her parent. She is the one whose stats, Mood, and ending change. See raising your daughter.

Is there a tutorial checklist in-game?

Demo builds use on-screen prompts (F to interact, Q for Schedule, E to go out). This page is the checklist the current UI does not print as a single quest log.

Should I fight on day one?

Only after you can read HP and the party layout. Combat is short on purpose — Meadowville is not the wilds.

Where do I go after week one?

Open daily life and characters, then decide whether you care more about bonds or endings.
