My Fairy Princess Festivals and Seasonal Events
Seasons are not wallpaper. They are content, CGs, and the only date the Friends book fully prints.
My Fairy Princess leans on its seasons. Steam copy calls out two festivals by name: the Flower Birthday Festival (花神诞 / 花誕祭), where your daughter takes the stage in a new costume, and the Lunar New Year hearth gathering, where she collects close friends around the fire on New Year’s Eve. Each season has its own scenery and pacing. The demo already prints month and year on the HUD clock; the 2026 full game extends that into scheduled events. Some fan compilations also reference a winter solstice bath ritual and a midsummer firefly hunt, and KDream’s community posts mention a Dragon Boat dumpling-making day, so the calendar almost certainly holds seven or eight annual gatherings, even if only two are named on the Steam store.
This page is the festival dossier. Pair it with the map guide for seasons-as-geography and with romance for how calendar gates beat snack spam. The off-season weeks live in daily life. The combat side of festival encounters is on combat, and the alchemy ingredients that drop during the spring and winter festivals live on alchemy.
Why seasonal events matter
The official feature list is blunt: every activity affects your daughter’s character, and balance matters across years. Festivals are the moments where the whole town pauses, the camera swaps to a CG, and your upbringing philosophy is performed in public. If you raise an enchantress, the stage shot looks like an enchantress. If you raise a hero, the stage shot looks like a hero. Calendar gates on the Friends book align with these dates more reliably than with regular weekdays.
Practical rules:
- Festivals lock your outfit for that day. Pick the wardrobe line the day before, not the morning of.
- Companions gather on festival days even if you have not yet unlocked the full memory. Showing up earns scene flags.
- Markets drop festival ingredients (Lantern grass, Peach-festival flour, Plum wine for New Year). Stock up before the festival week.
- Lunar New Year triggers a global mood bump and a small gift exchange with active companions. Kinship drift downward resets at the hearth.
- Festival CGs are the cleanest way to earn memory cards. A missed festival is a grey square in the album for that year.
- Festival-only NPCs (flower sellers, traveling poets, dumpling aunts) appear on the day and disappear the next morning. Schedule a chat on festival day, not the day after.
Flower Birthday Festival (the stage debut)
The Flower Birthday Festival (花誕祭) is the most-photographed event in the public art. It is also the moment your daughter debuts on a public stage for the first time. Steam screenshots show her in a flower-bordered outfit performing in front of townsfolk, with parent-and-child CGs of backstage quiet. The festival falls in early spring in every save we have seen, though the exact date drifts by a few days depending on the year-rollover offset.
What the festival does:
- Unlocks the Stage activity (one AP block) — a public performance that costs Kinship to enter and refunds it on a clean run.
- Awards a Festival Bloom trinket, which boosts Wardrobe/Talent effects for one full season.
- Surfaces two to three festival-only NPCs (flower sellers, traveling poets). One of them always has a Friends-page banner waiting.
- Gates the second-year ‘Bloom Mark’ memory line for whichever companion you bring as guest.
- Adds a long-form CG with the parent silhouette; the CG count differs for father versus mother runs.
How to plan it:
- Save at least one high-Mood day before the festival. Low Mood = poor Stage score = a CG you would rather not keep.
- Bring the companion you have the most Kinship with. Public memory scenes pay friendship flags they will not pay on a regular day.
- Pick the outfit that matches your ending lean — healer leans want muted jade; enchantress leans want silk.
- Skip if Rebellion is high. A defiant daughter on stage is a CG, but it is the wrong CG for the ending planner.
Lunar New Year and the hearth gathering
The Lunar New Year event is the calendar anchor. Steam copy describes it explicitly: gather close friends around the hearth on New Year’s Eve. It is the one night every year where every active companion is reachable in one place. It also marks the year roll — Year 6, Year 7, Year 8 — which is the timestamp on most memory cards.
What the event does:
- Universal mood reset for the year rollover. A negative mood year still ends with a softened start.
- Hearth scene with up to six companions. The hearth is where you finally see them as people, not as HUD entries.
- Red envelope mechanic that rewards attentive parenting (high Kinship) with rare crafting ingredients.
- Year-rollover unlocks new companion pages and one hidden Friends-page line.
- The New Year letter archive is opened in this window; missing letters become un-recoverable.
How to plan it:
- Stockpile food and elixir ingredients by the winter solstice.
- Pre-select the six companions you want at the hearth by mid-December. KDream has not said if the hearth size scales; the safe assumption is six.
- The Lunar New Year post on Steam is also the moment KDream runs a closed beta call. Follow links and watch your email.
The four seasons as a curriculum
Fairyland is not just festival-driven. The four seasons are a real curriculum:
- Spring — sowing, plant-water, new companion introductions, the Friends book adds new tabs. The Dragon Boat dumpling-making day sits at the end of spring and unlocks the alchemy dumpling recipe for the rest of the year.
- Summer — markets open fully, elixir ingredients peak, fishing is best. Midsummer firefly hunt unlocks the night-forest social scene for a single week.
- Autumn — harvest, the most-photographed Meadowville art, the road to festivals. The Flower Birthday Festival falls here in the early-week slot of autumn on a different code path than spring.
- Winter — hearth, study, indoor AP. Combat stays but snow slows wilds travel. Winter solstice bath ritual unlocks the hot-spring CG pool for that year.
Pair the seasons with the activity ranking. A healer-run wants spring plants and summer elixir. A hero-run wants summer wilds and autumn festival. A mortal-peace run wants autumn harvest and winter hearth.
Festival AP budget
The store copy and the demo HUD together suggest an AP cost of 2-4 per festival day. With seven events across the year, a festival-heavy run spends roughly 14-28 AP on the calendar alone. Compare that to a baseline week that uses 35 AP, and festivals are not free, but they are not catastrophic. Plan one festival per season; budget accordingly.
What the demo can and cannot prove
Public screenshots confirm Flower Birthday art and a Lunar New Year hearth with multiple bodies around the fire. They do not confirm exact dates, festival-only NPC names, or hearth size. Treat this page as a frame, not as a calendar:
- Flower Birthday: confirmed; date unknown.
- Lunar New Year: confirmed; date known to be Lunar calendar.
- Other festivals: assume seasonal, treat individual names as unconfirmed until KDream prints them.
When 1.0 publishes a festival list, this page will swap verbs. Until then, demo notes is the patch log.
Festival etiquette that transfers to new cycles
If you skip a festival in Year 6, the CG stays grey. The festival will return next spring. Showing up is the only constraint. A higher-Attention parent earns the ‘Bloom Mark’ for that companion; a distant one earns the ‘Walked Past’ frame. Use the ending planner to remember which festivals you refused on purpose.
Festival and combat overlap
Several festival CGs show a daughter already holding a blade or wearing armor, which suggests at least one festival has a combat tail. Treat it as a soft gate: festival encounters are easier than the wilds equivalent, but they reward Mood, Kinship, and a partner’s choice more than they reward a stat-min DPS build. Bring the companion you want a memory line with, not the one with the best swing.
What this wiki will add here
As new festival art lands in the demo, expect:
- Per-festival outfit recommendations by ending lean
- A spring/summer/autumn/winter AP budget
- Confirmed dates and New Year letter archives
- Heart-rollover memory mapping per companion
Until then, raise her through a year with intention. The festivals are the photo album. The off-season weeks are the actual upbringing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for demo players, parents, and ending hunters.
What is the Flower Birthday Festival in My Fairy Princess?
A yearly stage event where the daughter debuts in costume. Confirmed in Steam copy and public CGs. See romance for which companion you should bring as a guest.
Is there a Lunar New Year event?
Yes. Steam explicitly describes a New Year's Eve hearth gathering with close friends. It is the year-rollover event and the moment Kinship drift resets.
Do festivals affect endings?
Public CGs and stage memory cards show up in the Friends book. They are content, not a hidden ending flag, but they color the credits.
How many seasons are there?
Four: spring, summer, autumn, winter. The seasonal clock on the HUD uses earthly branches and seasonal medallions. See daily life.
