My Fairy Princess Romance, Friends, and Fate

Dozens of people can tilt her heart. The friend book already tells you how the gates work.

Romance and Bonds

My Fairy Princess is tagged as a dating sim as well as a life sim. Steam says Fairyland is home to dozens of unique characters — an extravagant heiress, a wandering swordsman with no care in the world, a devoted seeker of the Dao — and that they are not extras. Bonds shape emotional fate and the path she walks. The demo’s Friends tab is the first honest look at that machine.

Read this beside the companions roster and the endings hub. A maxed Enamored rank on the wrong person is still a story. It may not be the story you wanted.

Kinship is not romance

At home, Kinship measures her bond with the parent you play. Chat, Give Snacks, and Archive sit on that screen. Keep Kinship healthy so she will still hear you when you schedule something hard. It does not replace a friend rank. Do not dump every snack into Kinship and then wonder why Liu Yuyue is still on Acquainted.

How the friend book is laid out

An official profile page (v0.1.1) shows Liu Yuyue:

  • Age 12, birthday 2-5, height 141 cm.
  • A Likes grid of five locked tiles. You discover gifts; you do not start with a spoiler list.
  • Shared Memories as cards, not a hidden affinity integer.
  • Tabs for Daughter and Friends, with an Age ribbon and Turn Page on Q.

Memories already printed:

  • Scent of Green Plums — appears in March, Year 6, marked Completed.
  • Tale of the Flower Note — unlocks when the relationship reaches Acquainted, marked In Progress.
  • Three locked cards that demand Friend, Confidant, and Enamored.

That is the ladder. The game is willing to tell you the rank names in English. It is not willing to tell you the point thresholds. We will not invent them.

Rank ladder you can plan around

  1. Acquainted — she knows the person’s name and a first memory can start.
  2. Friend — a second memory gate.
  3. Confidant — deeper trust; likely where path-changing choices live.
  4. Enamored — the dating-sim ceiling printed on the card.

Steam’s “over twenty” / “dozens” cast means you will not Enamored everyone in one childhood. New cycles exist specifically so a chance meeting can become a legend later. If you care about a first-run romance, pick one or two faces and protect their calendar events. If you care about a healer or prodigy ending, treat ranks as fuel, not as the goal.

Calendar gates beat spam gifts

Scent of Green Plums is not “give 20 snacks.” It appears in March, Year 6. Tale of the Flower Note wants a rank, not a month. Mixed gates mean you cannot brute force the book in a long Meadowville afternoon. Play the daily life loop, be in town when the month turns, and check the book after seasons change.

Likes being hidden is a teaching tool. Listen to dialogue (osmanthus cake is a food hint in the house; it may or may not be Liu Yuyue’s like). Use Give Snacks as an experiment, not as a dump.

Who the store wants you to notice

Until a full names list is public, keep the official archetypes on a sticky note:

  • Extravagant heiress — money, markets, maybe the fan-and-silk energy of Liu Yuyue’s portrait. We will not swear they are the same person until the UI says so.
  • Wandering swordsman — combat company, hero routes, wilds time. See combat.
  • Dao seeker — elixir work, transcendence talk, alchemy.

Humans, fiends, and immortals all live here. A pink-haired CG with paint and nail color is a reminder that not every important adult is a mortal shopkeeper. Some bonds will feel like mentorship, some like first love, some like trouble. The Enamored card exists; not every card should be filled.

Romance as ending pressure

Official copy says she might become a healer, an enchantress who steals hearts, a righteous prodigy, or a wandering hero. An enchantress run without social AP is a contradiction. A hero run that never leaves Meadowville is another. Use bonds to push a philosophy, then confirm the mix in the ending planner.

If a memory would spoil a first meeting, skip the Friends tab until you have walked into it. This wiki describes the system, not every line in Tale of the Flower Note.

When the book is too large, turn the page (Q) and return to controls if you cannot find the tab. The UI is still WIP. The ladder is already clear enough to raise her on purpose.
